yfz 450 front shocks

i bought a set of yfz 450 shocks yesterday that have been revalved by pro tech suspension i grinded them down and made them fit on my 400ex that has +2 lonestar a arms it now sits lower i almost think too low i haven't got on a track with them yet but has anyone tryed yfz shock on their ex before?

were they exspensive?
and how hard it was to get them to fit.

i paid 250 canadian for them from a buddy and i'm not sure yet how they are going to work i'll know once i get to the track
