2007 Silverado

The design might grow on me, but personally I'm not a big fan of the new style:rolleyes: . What do you guys think of it?

I don't think it is the worst. I'ts definitly different from everything else out there. And I'm pretty sure it will look good either lifted or as a pre-runner.

I like it, we have a 2006 which I assume is the same front end unless they went with the new tahoe front end?

The new Silverado is totally different form the 06's from bumper to bumper.The front end is designed really close to the new Tahoe's.From what i've seen of it, i like it a ton better then the 03-06 models.

I've heard that GM will sell the current model and the new model both as an 07 this year.Also heard from a dealer that GM is upgrading its powertrain warranty on the new trucks to 7 years or 100k miles.

I love the 03 through 06, wish I had one for my truck... My dad has an 05 Z71 Crew... I love that thing!

I like the 07 alot better!! There 06's 05's ect.....they looked the station wagon that the Griswald's were driving in "National Lampoons Vacation" (sp?).......the first one. Just the way it was designed looked like the Silverado's:rolleyes: To me, too much headlights!!!

the silverado line is my favorite vehicle period. i really hope to get myself a nice used 1500 4x4. i actually really like the 97-98 style if they are kept up well, but the 99-04 are beautiful as well. i like the 07's but i think im a fan of the older style alittle more.

The gmc does look better the grill really kills the chevy

I like the 06 and older body styles ALOT more.. The front end is just too much and the fenders are eh? Maybe it's just me I guess everyone has differnt tastes.

That your 06 you were talkin about? That is probably one of my favorite color schemes... Dark blue with the tannish/silver flares and rockers.

Those other angles on the 07's look better than the one I posted, but still not sure about it yet..

the front bumper and hood look like ford, the box looks like a nissan, and what could you put on the roof, there is racks up there. beer can thickness metal, maybe a stack of paper plates? the only good chevys were '73-'87. jmo

Im not bashing chevys I like them they are just put together so cheaply... I mean am i the only one that feels like im gona break the power window controls off when i use them, thats jsut one example. Also my friend got an 05 and it had fricken ripped up duct tape on some electrical wires hose that had cracked before it got sold, and no it wasnt used...

Personally I think that the 07 looks so ugly:mad: :mad: I think the older models look alot better. My dad got a new tahoe and half of it is made outta plastic. oo well Im going to go kick chevey in the nuts.

I'm not a big fan, it looks like a bigger version of the colorado mixed with other manufactuers ideas. :ermm:

I like the looks of the 87'-98' chevys, and if you want a durable chevy pickup you need an 86' or earlier. :cool:

I hate the new trucks. I personally think that the 06 front end is the best. But chevys are overpriced IMO but i get a gm family discount so I deal with it. The interiors are better than most of the full size pickups. i like my 06 Z71 but hate the throttle by wire.

I am a Chevy fan all the way, but that is just plain ugly. Yuck... only word I can use to describe it.

cars and trucks are just getting worse and worse, they just need to stop and go back to the way things used to be....i like the mid and early 90s chevy trucks...a buddy of mine has a 1994 chevy and that things is way more durable then my moms 03...it just seems like the whole world is that way

i love the new front ends, but the 2003-2004.5 front end is my favorite. what really makes me like the 07's is the 370hp 6.0L vortech:D the new coil spring front suspesion replaces the torsion barsand looks ot be very lift friendly.the new interior looks very well laid out aswell also they are rated to tow 10,500lbs. lockign rear end in the 4x4 modles, the rear doors on the ext. cabs open 170degrees. can anyone say hemi or triton eater:blah:

the best thing about the new ones coming out is that their will be more older ones to pick up even cheaper, i got a 98 chev and i liek the looks of it, but i definatly love the 2003-04 front end, stilll not sure about that 07 though :confused:

lets see, my brother inlaw had a 99 powerstoke auto. break pads and rotors frotn and rear every 6 months, tranny went out, front wheel bearing every year, never saw any better than 17mpg, wonders like ever other ford ( hold the stearing wheel straight and it slowly turns on its own.)

before than he had a 92 7.3 N/A 5 speed breaks all around on it, front tires wear out because of the bad camber of the twin I beam front suspension, the rear fuel tank rusted out, the oil pan rusted out, the injection pump went, the lift pump went, the water pump & rad packed it in and it got a whoping 15mpg.

both of those trucks were babied, and guess who worked on them...ME!.

my friends dad has 04 F150 crew 4x4, every bushing wore out in the front end ( and its a highway cruiser) that caused the front tires to wear in the inside. the front drive shaft had to be replaced because from the factory it wasn't true, lets not forget breaks. it allso got poor milage with the 5.4 triton.

have you not heard the storys of when the 6.0L ford diesel's came out? injector problems, electrical problems that lead to them catching on fire and burning to the ground. auto tranny trouble. the 25,000 (I think) law suits against ford for the 2003- 2004 ford diesel due to major problems.

how come it is around here the fords around here go for thousands less than a GM with same km's and shape?

our 2003 chevy 2500 4x4 that we had, since new the only thing that it ever had problems with was there was a little switch that controlls the tanny temp. gauge went bad and that was the only problem that it ever had onther than oil change, break pads air filter. in 185,000km's ( 115,000miles )

i could sit here all night with a list of things allnight but why bother, fords will still be junk in the morning.

you ask if i've ever ownd one? well i'm not that stupid to buy a ford sorry:ermm:
