Thanks again admin. I guess I'll start all over, lol!
Anybody got good stuff to say about the new Apex Aasco Pro Shark or Pro Mx quads? I just figured that these little minis deserved a spot on here. They are growing in popularity a lot lately and sure seem to offer a lot of stuff for the money. The web site is pretty informative and has a few fair pics. Check it out at http://www.apexatv.com/contact_us.html. Anyway, ride safe all, Ed.

HI Just started looking for a mini racer for my daughter. Just wondering what the pros and cons of each machine were. DRR's DRX90 looks prety good for 2007 with dual A arms and front disk brakes. But the APEX comes factory with alot of options. anyone with any info. let me have it. I live in southern Pa. about 50 miles north of Baltimre, are there any APEX or DRR dealers in my area? THANKS

The 07 Pro MX has discs up front as well. Along with a gussetted frame, new & improved axle, swing arm and tranny, an anti-vibe steering stem, new rear brake...It's looking to be pretty awesome. I've got one pre-ordered, hopefully it's shipping tomorrow!

The new 07 are going to be much more solid than the 06 models. We love these bikes you cant go wrong with the Apex quads.

Quadfather, I'm new to this forum and don’t know of you or your reputation, but I can see you are a man of patients, you kept the conversation direct and to the point...hats off to you for trying to help.

I'm from the North East and just ordered two 2007 Apex's for my two kids. We only had one APEX in our circuit this year, after speaking to the owner he tells me good things about it. The only negative was availability of some parts and in my opinion some parts were hi priced compared to other miniquads, even for the identical part.

From what I hear the 07's have MAJOR upgrades. Maybe you can describe them in more detail so we all can better understand whats comming......

Those of you in the North East looking to buy an 07 APEX now can call X-Treme ATV's in Meriden CT. They will have six in stock next week (203) 440-1649.

The upgrades for 07 are Frt disc brakes, anti vibration steering stem with plus 2 rise, Improved rear axle and improved rear disc brake set up. These changes are minor but a great improvement over the 06 model.

My local APEX dealer just received the 2007 APEX's. WOW what a nice quad, I was not expecting it to be that quick "out of the box". I'll be doing more testing this weekend.

I no longer have to ask what changed for 07, see upgrades below

Anti-Vibe Steering Stem (Lonestar Style)
Improved Hydraulic Rear Disc Brake with Direct-Link Pedal
Tag Handlebars
All New Handlebar Grips

New & Improved Heavy Duty Swing Arm
New & Improved Heavy Duty Transmission
Reinforced frame
Adjustable Ignition Timing
New & Improved Shocks
new graphics and Handlebar Pads

Those of you in the North East looking to buy an 07 APEX. This dealer has five more in stock. X-Treme ATV's in Meriden CT. (203) 440-1649.

I have a 90cc, It’s surprisingly quick out the box, but to be competitive in my area more mods will need to be done. Colors are only Black and Red.

There are no dealers in Ky or Tenn. The closest one could be Southern Indy.

Just wondering what was wrong with the ant-vibe steering stem? To me, it looks like a pretty nice one, like a lonestar or something. Have you got one of these yet?

did you look close? at the pics on apex site? when you see one in person then youll know or maybe ed "quadfather" will say something about it , if im wrong i'll eat my words but like i said the other upgrades are nice and im even thinking of getting a new apex "07" and keeping the other as backup.

It looks pretty good to me, quite high end. the only difference I can see between this and a lonestar is the lack of chrome.

This is anti-vibe. Metal is not touching metal. I've got mine in my hand.

OH! Also, the new shocks. They are different. They are completely re-valved. The old ones and a cheesy plastic piston and the new ones have a metal piston.

1 more question, the new pipe how is it working out, is it mid or topend pipe? with the long stinger looks to me to be more topend, and you posted that the shocks have also been inproved and relocated, i think we got to get one now, greg did a great job.

Was that with the AC RACING parts or without?

KC's Dad

The 263 lbs was stock (no AC Racing parts) I just put in gas and weighed before the first ride.

Any ideas what the AC Racing parts weigh? (Nerf bar, front/rear bumpers)

I have all of the ac racing stuff on ours. I didnt put it on a scale of anykind but I'll tell ya with all of the stuff I took vs whats on now I saved at least 20 lbs of weight. Just the nerf bars are half the weight. The bumper and fender mounts at least half the weight there as well.

I don't know what all the bashing is about for the 2006 Pro 90. It's an excellent machine once you get it set up right. First thing is to get rid of the shocks; they were just plain junk. We added Elka shocks, AC nerfs and bumper, UNI filter (the K&N style it comes with is junk), Lonestar anti-vibe steering stem and gussetted the swing-arm myself. The machine is very fast once it's dialed in. I also recommend using Engine Ice coolant. We run VP 110 octane and Maxima 927 castor oil at 40:1. Smells like a Cox airplane engine. We'll probably add the disc brake kit soon. So, bottom line is, I spent $3,100 for the quad and added $2,200.00 in accessories and have another $500.00 to go. Hmmm. Should have bought a Cobra. At least I know it would be race ready out of the box with nothing else to buy. But then again, the extra $3,000.00 buys a lot of other goodies, too. :D

The 06 have alot more problems than shocks and nerf bars. That would be why all these changes for 07 are happening. All the changes for 07 look to be great. Will like seeing one set up and running. Wait till your kid starts destroying the frame which are junk, the stock swing arm even gusseted is far from good been through that as well. Tranny gears are junk copletely switched style on those as did apex for 07. The rear disc set up on the 06 is garbage went with one from KFab. Look at all there changes its do to being needed not to change a great thing. Just an opinion and i hope of 07 they are as good as they look.
