I'll just tell this to you straight. :ermm: In my paper, there is a quad EXACTLY like yours. It has STOCK TIRES with 80%, and he's asking 2500. It's perfect. I'm pretty sure you can't get 3500. I live just up hwy 30 from you (maybe 10 minutes) and would be EXTREMELY interested in PURCHASING that quad say... if it was 2700 or 2600. :D Multiple value predictors (i.e. NADA, KBB, and my Honda dealer) think that a 400 of that age with those mods in PERFECT condition would be worth at most 2750. I've been sitting on my mint condition '05 300ex for a bit while looking for a good 400, knowing full well that even though NADA says mine's worth 3400, I'll get maybe 2800 bucks out of it. You'd be very suprised what eating a couple hundred dollars would do for your sale. If you drop the price to what everybody else gets for their '01 400, we really might have some serious talking to do, considering we're neighbors and all. :p I realize you have done alot of great mods, but I've found that extras have almost no effect on the value of the machine. I've sold 3 ATV's and we currently own 3.

yea i know this but i figured if the right person came around that i could sell it for that much. i have since dropped the price to 3100 and would let it go for 3000 if you were serious but anything less than that i really cant do because im trying to get a car

I feel ya there. My car is cool, but I need a faster quad. :D Kinda a tight spot when you hafta sell something for a certian price to support your next endeavor. I'm gonna hafta get a crappy 400 and build it up if I wanna stay out of petty debt. It does have quite the stash of goodies though... best of luck!

beutiful bike..but $3000 for a bike that 6 years old is tuff to get...even with your mods....

Id compare it to buying a home in the ghettos and trying to totally remodel the home and not realzing that you cant get the money you put in the home because of the area, or comparable price of homes in that specific location.

Believe it or not, many people would rather have a all stock atv as far as the motor goes as long as the bike is clean and runs strong..

I just puchased a 2000 honda 400ex...clean as a pin and didnt need a thing... for $2000 cash. The seller also gave me a brand new Clymer service manual and a bin of extra parts including a extra axle, headlight assembly, sprockets,etc...

One thing that may help you sell your is if you have the title to the bike..but even then, I think the most you can get is around $2700. The 400ex may be the most widely sold/available sport atv on the market, and that doesnt help resale value either..

Song is right. $2,700 and you may have a good shot at getting it sold.
When you try to sell a quad with a lot of mods you won't get your money back out of them.
It's an older quad and there are a tons on the market. You'll have to bend on that price.
It's heart breaking I'm sure.

!!!!!2700!!!! this is a steal ive almost dropped a grand from what i wanted. Ibought this for 2900 not long ago the rebuilt it to a 416 bought all the skids, powdercoated the frame, and painted tha a arms and now im losing money

i have people willing to pay what i want for it but the question is can they get the money before the car i want sells, i cant go lower than 2700 and everyone i talk to thinks its fair or more than fair

im not sure that i would be able to drive that far, my schedule is very packed and it would cost more than 100 to drive to michigan, i would have at most 1 day and a half to drive there and back and that would be on sun-mon
