250R Shocks on 400

Can somebody tell me if elkas from a 88 250R will fit a 400ex? I have heard they would but wanted to be sure.

Thats ok I can adjust the ride hight of the elkas anyway, but would they need to be revalved

i know the fronts will, in fact they are almost identical. the rear however i am not sure about. it might work, but i do not know.
