I went to the shop to get a price quote on a Keihin FCR. They wewre out of stock on the 39mm.. but they showed a 41mm. whats the difference (besides 2mm)?

should i go ahead and buy the 41mm or wait till the 39mm comes in stock?

and were can i buy one online.. links please!!

i think that the 41 is WAY to big for a 400ex. Your engine can only breathe in so much air at a time. The 39 will be a good carb for your mods. Just wait for that one.

I just bought a 05/06 39mm for my 99 400ex. I got if from Hidy Honda Powersports for $125.00. Cheapest place I could find for a brand new one. They wanted something like $330.00 for a new 99/04 model.

was it an FCR carb? 125 is a good deal if its an FCR.

Sorry about that guys, my bad. Had a brain fade, thats just a plain old EX carb. No hot start knob or nothing.

what about people who put on a stock 450r carb.. thats a 42mm and they say it runs great?
