Well i need some help im more than likley going to get a YFZ 450. But i need to know a little about the Titanium Valves on them. DO they hold up good? Because i know on a Z-400 that they dont? I really need to know if they do because if they dont im goin to get a 450ER.

as far as i know there is no prob with the valves. the 450R is bullet proof and easy to maintain. i would go with honda just because it is every bit as good as a YFZ but is more reliable. but to answer your question, no there is no prob with YFZ valves and i think the 450R uses Ti valves too.

Based on my experience and what I've seen others report, the YFZ is every bit as reliable (or even more so) then the 450er.

yes the yfz is reliable, but the ti valves will get cupped easier than the steel ones. u can just replace them with the steel ones though.

I have not heard of any problems with the YFZ's titanium valves. They will wear down faster than steel but not as fast as some people make it out to be.

As for reliability between the two, take care of both machines the same and they'll both last the same. They are both high-performance race quads designed to go fast, not be extremely reliable. If you want pure reliability, go with a 400EX ;) . And from my experience and what I've read, the 450R seems to be less reliable than the YFZ, and that's my unbiased opinion.

not problems....they just wear out a little quicker. there is no reliability issues, it is just that ti is a littlle more prone to cupping than steel. not a big deal, when u get ur top end done, just put in steel ones
