i think you have to make mounts for the frame to fit the motor
but i am not sure maby it does

No they dont bolt in.....You are looking at some serious mods to make it work....Been down that road already both atc and trx....You gotta be good with fabricating to do it......Good luck....

Do not do it....This is not just a simple bolt in project, to begin with the CR500 motor is not counter balanced so it would vibrate like hell, every person I have talked to after building one said they wouldn't do it again. You could build a more reliable fast motor by going big bore while still retaining the counter balancer.

go with a 350r or 370r set up and you will be happy

or better then all that get a cr500 head and cylinder, nd keep the 250r bottom end nd get a new piston, clutch basket nd clutch and new crank, and that'd be a screaaaaaaaaaaamer

Not a good idea to swap the 500 into the 250 frame. My buddy did it and found out that without a counter balancer you can't even begin to count how many things start to crack a break apart. He ended up going back to a 310 250r motor and it was barely slower than the 500 motor was.

If you meticulously balance the crank, detune the motor slightly, sleeve the frame around the motor mounts, run bar end weights, anti vibe stem, you can make one that will live and be blast to scare yourself and ruin your friends all day.
