Ive got a no link setup on my bike right now that uses a no-link frame 16 3/4" shock and the stock swingarm. Ive never liked the way the shock angle was..It just didnt look like it had good leverage compared to the normal no links arms with the shock mounted lower. Iver never really been pleased with how it worked either. So Im thinking of trying another setup.

Im wondering what length shocks are used on no-link swingers and no-link frames. particularly any arms that use 16 3/4" I know there isnt really a standard setup.

ive never seen a no link setup using the stock swingarm? i have a roll design dc3 "gullwing no-link" (discontinued) swingarm and it rocks!! with a 16 3/4 axis setup and valved for that application. it pulls almost 13" of rear wheel travel. i've also heard good things of the laeger cr500 link setup which might still be available.

thanks for the information! Ive never seen one either, and I think I know why. The roll swingarm is used with the stock frame shock mount correct?

I tried about 2 years ago to get that swinger in a +1 for my atc250r(same as 86/87 trx250r swingers), they said it was discontinued. It is for a stock frame. Jrd makes a no-link swinger for a stock frame.

i think theres a bit of confusion. his frame is a no-link that uses a stock link swingarm. the shock his set up uses is 16 3/4 in. . hes looking for info on it, because hes not happy with the way it performs, and is wondering if its a comon set up or if most people, even with no-link frames run no-link swingarms.

no confusion, Im almost certain no one else runs a stock swingarm

deathman- your hybrid has a no link right? do you know what the orientation of the frame mount and the shock length are? You are using a DC4 right

I dont' know much about, but its a no-link frame and no-link lsr swingarm. It sounds like you need a no-link swingarm, lsr sells them, my swinger is for the hybrid versions of frame, not a 250r motor. They sell afew types

If you contact Wayne Mooridian at PEP he has experience with no links using stock frames/swing arms.

Anyone have a number for JRD, maybe even some pictures of the swingarm? I tried there web page (.jrdmech.com <- something like that) but it's down/changed.

Thanks for any help.

SORRY FOR DELAY, yes my frame is a stock 88-89 250r stock uppper shock mount. utilizing a roll design dc3 "gullwing" no link. it works incredible! custom axis built the shock.
im having problems with airbox/brake caliper clearance. lsr discontinued there no link box so im going to rework my alluminum x-factor box.
