ive been wanting to get an Edelbrock carb for my 440, but ive heard that i shouldnt wast that much money on and Edelbrock because you pay too much for how much power you get out of it? is this true? and should i buy one??

yea man if i had the money id get it. for 1 it has automatic jetting. it will give u way noticable power. it will open it up like a stock pipe vs. an aftermarket. its very noticable

I think that there are better carbs out there for the price. I used one for a while. It was decent. Ran pretty well with it on and was easy to tune. I switched to a 450r carb and like it alot more, though. I find the 450r carb has better throttle response and low end. If you got the twist version, the low end would probably be improved on it.... it takes about 5 minutes to get to full throttle on the Edelbrock LOL.

I was running the Edelbrock Doug E. 440 Edition carb, and the 450r carb is way better for the price. It outperforms it for less. The Edelbrock is easy to tune... but so is the R carb. You are gonna have to do some slight modifications for either carb to work. :macho

Coming from a nonbiased guy having owned both, that is my opinion on the matter.

ok man im still thinkin about it, cuz ive been talkin to some other people that have owned both to. and they say that the edelbrock outperformes it but that the 450 gives you almost the same amount and isnt near as expensive. so i duno yet
