250R plastic, seat, and tank on an EX??

Anyone know if you can put 250R plastic, seat, and tank on a 400EX?? My friends gonna do a CRF conversion and wants the "R" look. Anyone done it or know what needs to be modded??

i no the front and rear plastics fit with minor modding, and the seat should fit as well but the 250r sits higher and isnt as long as the 400ex seat (which feels bigger) but the 250r seat is pretty cumfy:D

I dont think your gonna get the gas tank to fit. You'd have to rig something up to hold the fuel switch, the two bolts that hold the tank down are bolted into the 250r's head stay and there is no were to bolt those in the 400ex, plus the bolt up front by the steering stem is only one bolt on the 250r compared to two bolts on the 400ex.

Its worth a try but it aint gonna be easy.

Well I know the on my R the tank is held on by other bolts, not the headtay bolts, (its like that on your Arens, but not a stock R frame.) And I suppose he could use a 250R petcock for the fuel, and weld a tab to the EX frame.

i have been wanting to see a pic of this for so long. i absolutely love the r plastic....and would do this conversion if i could get more info and a few pics:(

i tried just it the other way, 99 ex stock plastic
on my 89 R, nothing fit or lined up, gas tanks are different, ex seat is longer, more trouble than it was worth, i bought black plastic for the R
