I'm selling my 2004 400EX...All the parts I've listed are new, and have about 4 hours ride time on them. I tore this quad down and re-built it from the frame up. Everything was done right. I'll list most of the big mods, but I'll tell you anything else in person or on the phone.
The motor is a Tom Carlson race motor with about 4 hours on it. The whole engine was just gone over. All new seals and bearings too. It has
JE 10.5:1 high compression piston
440 Big bore kit
TC Racing cam
TC racing ported and polished for mid-range
Titanium valves
Matching springs with .10 in. shims
Wiseco Hot Rod
This motor has ONLY 4 hours ride time on it, and no races. The oil is changed every other ride, NO exceptions. The airfilter is foam and is cleaned after every ride. I use Bel-ray filter oil. Here's some of the other mods:
Fly bars
Scott grips
Sunline master cylinders
Tusk anodized gas cap w/ 1 way vent
Maier plastcis "race cut fronts" all blue.
Shockwears shock covers
38MM carb.
Big Gun Racing exhaust
DYNO jet kit
X-ring chain
JT steel sprockets "15/38"
Chrome motor mounts
Subframe coils
DG bumper
DG headlight gaurd
Pivot Works bearings "all round"
EBC brake pads "all round"
New brake pins/bushings.
Lonestar Racing block off plate
Lonestar Racing steering stem
Hinson racing clutch "everything"
Lonestar Racing bearing carrier
Motion Pro Quick Snap twist throttle
One Industries graphics
And LOTS more.
The frame is painted High gloss black with a gold metal flake. It was sandblasted and done right. There are no cracks or dents in it.
Every bearing and everything has been replaced. Most parts have about 4 hours on them. There are a few scratches in plastic, but not really, and no deep ones.
It DOES need a couple things. It needs a battery "$50" or maybe just a good charging. It also needs a rear caliper slider "$40". The tires are also getting low on tread. And that's it. Everything else is good. I've always used Honda GN4 20w-50 oil in it and it's changed after every other ride. The lowest octane gas ever run through it was 93. I maintain and take care of it very well. The only reason I'm selling it is to get a 450 to build this winter. If it doesn't sell for the price I want, I'll keep it.
I also has a lot of extra parts that go with it. "Plastics, lights, electrical, brake parts, stem, lots more."
If there are any questions, feel free to email or message me. I'M NOW ONLY ASKING $3900 FIRM or will trade for a 450. I may also consider trading for a crotch rocket. I'll try to post a pic, email me if you want one in the meantime.. I'm located in NW pennsylvania. Thanks.
