I'll be there to watch. Mapleshade is a great track. Crazy 180 turn out of the holeshot, and a real good triple jump right by the fans for styling points!

Ya the first turn and first 2 tables are death traps. I will bet my life that someone falls in that section and atleast 2 people hit the tire in the first turn.

Not many quads do the big grandstand tripple but a bunch of quads including me do the other one thats before it.

I duffed it on the tunnel jump before! That thing is tricky after a couple of tired laps. lol

Did they fix that middle table top before gravity cavity? It use to shoot you sideways and was kinda hairy.

IS THIS A ATVA OR AMA SANCTIONED RACE !!!!

ARE THERE SPECIFIC AGE GROUPS ????

I KNOW YOU ARE ALL THINKING I'M PRETTY STUPID RIGHT NOW BUT THIS IS REAL IMPORTANT TO WHERE WE RIDE NEXT WEEKEND..
OUR 15 YEAR OLD WANTS TO RIDE HIS 450 AND IS NOT ALOUD TO IN D-6 ...

JUST TRYING TO GET HIM SOME SEAT TIME...

:D

450r51
09-18-2006, 06:37 AM
hey, he can race his 450 at mapleshade, just tell them you are 16, nick raced his 400 at age 14 at mapleshade. and if you have ne problems, look for me or my brother and we will talk to doug or sherry ( the owners) for you, and they will let you race.

if you say ur 16 they wont bother you at all, mapleshade is not very strict when it comes to this, just dont let zack ride the 450;)

If your talkin to me then Hi. I will be running B. They have changeg a lot of stuff since those pics. The grandstand tripple isnt nearly as built up. Thereis 3 tables after the right turn after the grandstand tripple.

Austin watch out for that big tire that u see in the pic. It gets people all of the time. If ur goin on sat. to practice ill show u some lines and chit.

The best thing to do is to hit the outside on the start unless you have the holeshot. Everyone gets tangled up in the first turn. Hit the out side, come out of the corner atleast third, and you also have a run for the double out of the turn. Your in Third gear, they're luggin second!

You going Dave?

I was very surprised that the track dried up for moto 2. The first moto was really slick and caught me offgaurd a few times. That first turn tire caught the girlfriend and sent her tumbling! lol It was a good time, I just wish they would have given more than a 1 lap late practice. I went the wrong way a few times for the quad/dirtbike y-turn. Ole well, I still had a great time and it went for a good cause. Later all.

Yes it did dry up great and what Doug had done in the corners giving two lanes was great. I agree with you USAMoto00 it did get a bit crazy on my first moto with the women at the quad/bike y. They didn't have it roped off yet telling you what way to go so I was going wide (quad trail) but when I cameup onthe youth class I saw some going onthe bike trail so I said what the hell and tried it. I have to say I liked the quad one better. Then when I went out for the +30 they had it roped off. By the way I saw your girlfriend wreck. I was glad to see she was okay and back running. I was a bit upset with the fact that they packed all the quads one right after another. I really sucked running moto 3 then coming back around and running moto 5. That is the first time I have ever run two class and I think I will really think about hard before I do it again. I don't know how some guys do it. It was great the second moto with the pros going out so I got a bit of a break then it isn't as bad. It is also so hard to run the womens class because my son runs inthe 90 mod class and we drop gates together. I really hate the fact of having to pass him let alone if something (god forbid) ever happen to him. But other than my few complaints it was a great weekend and our money went to a great cause.

Kids where coughing and mom wouldn't let us out of the house!

Sounds like it was a heck of a race. I just wish the weather would have been better.

Last race I remember up there pro quad. Natalie, White, Diver and I think Jesse Schaffer where battling. I do believe Diver won. Natalie lost his seat the first race I think. I think Natalie was on a 2 smoke and Diver was on the YFZ 400 hybrid. Man that was a sick quad Dave!

Yep, that's her #5! lol She was so mad about that and I felt bad for laughing. You have some awesome pics, do you have anymore that you could post? I was hoping that they would break the quads up more so that we could watch more, but I guess it went okay. Like what was said about the Pro's breaking it up really helped us all out. I wanted to run the B class to, but after riding the +30, I new that I wouldn't be able to hold on for another class. Missing the last 2 weekends of riding really hurt me bad with some major arm-pump! lol It was a really good time though and everyone was super nice there. #0 out.

I drove up saturday to practice but that got cancelled. Still an awesome weekend though. The party at lost creek cycles was fun and the night rides in the Rhino around the track were a blast. I wish Pat's bike didnt break because that was going to be an awesome race between Borwn, Uppy, and Matt White. I also have to hand it to Kendall, he had to run the LCQ and pretty much turn around and go out for the final and he still pulled off a 3rd.
