ok well when i got my bike the was ony one cable going to the clutch lever but i see theres 2 more spots. what the the other 2 for e brake and reverse?

I am guessing you are talking about a 400ex.

It was for the e-brake cable

only the 05's and 06's have the reverse. The 99' to 04 ex's didn't have the reverse option.
