Hello i know this is asked in a round about way alot..

But for the purposes of mainly.. Trying to make the big not sag so much because i the rider am 215 pounds.. and also the purpose if for jumping and HARD core trail riding,,

What pre-load should the front be on.. i have them on 4 of 5 now and those 2 screws on the back shocks i have them tightened all the way in both of them,, the book says to do that for a heaver load or something..

Well i know you guys know what i am talking about.. the best settings would sure be useful..

Thanks

First of all what type of shock are you using. We can figure out what the preload is and determine what kind of ride heigth you need.

For better handling, set them at lower pre-load settings. I would just exparament. The best thing to do is set it extreamly one way, ride, and set it extreamly the other way and try it. Figrure it out from there.

I agree with RideRed go one way and find a nice whoop style section to go over and see which way you can achieve the most comfort and fastest through them.

Just keep in mind, pre-load has no affect on bottoming resistance.

I run front on 5-Stiffest. The rear seems to do well with the rebound and compression screws set to center, lightly seated then out 1 1/2-2 turns till the dots line up as it came from the factory. do not set the rebound too fast or it will buck you off! I did adjust the preload spring down some, the top of the spring a little down past center on the shock threads. it came with the top of spring about 1/4 inch above center of threads but that was a little soft for me, i'm about 190 pounds & ride trails fast. Gonna get some front aftermarket springs soon but i'm not going to say what brand, don't want to start a war:rolleyes:

So does that translate into works tripple rates?
