My throttle on my 05 450r is "hanging-up". it feels like when I try to accellerate @ half trottle it wants to stop. I can always push it on through but it is kinda hard..and for those of you that race you know this can be disasterous for throttle thumb and arm pump. I am wanting to know why is my throttle hanging up

i would try lubing the cable.

The problem with mine was not in the cable, but the slider. It was smooth as glass accelerating, but when you let off it would hang at about 3/4 if you just eased off the gas. I used carb cleaner to clean the slider, and it hasn't happened since.

mine is sticking when i push it in...not when I am letting off..it feels like it hit a "wall" and then if I push hard enough it will push through the wall and work fine

I just lubed the cable last week...and it wasn't sticking before that and not right after that either...

I would check to make sure it isn't kinked anywhere.

How could it have gotten kinked, and what do I do to fix it if it is?

Possibly when you had the tank off and putting it back together. Make sure it is going straight into the carb, and straight into the throttle.

cable is fine...it is something on the carb. the slide wants to stick up sometimes but I got that to stop..the trottle still hangs up when trying to push it in, only when it is running
