a new CDI box worth it or not

i wanted to get a lil more power with out boring it or making it less relaible and was wondering if an aftermarket cdi box is worth it

I think it would be worth it if you have an o4 or 05 but if you have an 06 or newer just do the "green wire snip" mod. You will get about 1000 more rpm. (don't ask, just search the posts about it)

if you are going to buy one then plan on buying one of the more expencive ones. the cheep ones only give more RPMs that do nothing. buy the programable ones that also increase the spark and now your in cookin.
