How to get rid of ants in my house?

Need some help with a pest problem. got any suggestions. there's ants crawling on my wall. i've started spraying them with febreeze for the time being.

Go up to your local hardware store and pick up a jug of Ortho Home Defense Max, spray it inside and out of your house along every crack, window opening, door, etc any place ants or any bug can get in or out. It will kill them when they walk across it and it lasts three months.

lol! are you related to my wife?? i walked into her room one day (when we were dating) and she was sucking up ants with a vacum. i thought... hmmm, thats weird and went about my business.

I tried once using powdered boric acid mixed with sugar. left it for them to take home to the queen. She must of ate some, b/c after about a week they were gone

Terro will work too just not as good of results as the Home Defense. The traps will only catch some ants and it will kill some of them, but not all. Ants are either living in your house somewhere or theyre coming in from outside. If you spray it along the edge of your floor, window sills, cracks, they HAVE to walk through it and thats all it takes. If they cant come in/out to get food, then the nest wont get any food and dies.:blah: I had to take a week long class at the Scott's Institute (The place that makes Miracle Grow, Scotts Fertilizer, Ortho, Round Up, etc). Probably more than you cared to have read and more than your willing to do, so just grab some cheap ant sprays or traps:p

We have used every chemical from home depot on them that is supposed to kill ants.. well they go away for a bit but the survivors come back and are immune to the last thing we used... as of now they are super ants because we have tried everything and they are just immune....

Try asking them to leave.

I have ants and sprays,traps nothing works they leave when they want to.

get some yarn and hang em from the doorway when their familys try to come in im sure they will turn around and go to another house... wouldnt you?

I work at Ace in my town and everyone that has used the terro products said they wouldnt ever use anything else. I dont know a whole lot about it, just that it works here in Michigan.

we used a spray called 'creepy crawly' and got rid of thousands of ants in our minihome.. there are literally piles of dead ants outside and now there are no ants left in the house.. worked in about a week.

Are they immune to shotgun rounds? By the sounds of it these ants are huge, buff and immune to every chemical out there. Only solution left is firearms!

well i think i may have found out what had attracted them to my room in the first place. i looked behind my desk and there was an old bag of cheeto's. i didnt think much of it until i tipped the bag over and saw all the ants taht were under the cheeto's because there wasnt any on top of the cheeto's if that makes sense. anyways i threw the bag of cheeto's out and they arent as bad but there still crawling around on my walls. except for not as many as before. i told my parents and they didnt really say much other than it was my problem lol:eek2: .
