Its simple. Look at the end of your swingarm, and you will see 2 allen head bolts. Loosen them real good. Then what I use is big channel locks to turn the carrier. Youll see where you turn the carrier on the left side of the end of the swingarm. There are notches to use other tools, but you risk breaking it if it doesn't move easy. Turn the carrier down to tighten the chain. Don't forget to tighten the allen head bolts back real good.

You might try to get some vise grips to loosen the allen head bolts, depending on how tight they are.

the vise grips just slip right off since i can't get a good grip on em.

the bolt is on there like no other. the bolt is round... it doesn't have anywhere to grip it on. any one have any other ideas? thanks

try spraying some PB rust buster on the threads and let it sit for a few min. then go at it with the vice grips again. that stuff loosens almost anything.

you could try some of those heads you can by at sears that are supposed to take out stripped allen head type bolts, or you could weld a hex head bolt to the stripped bolt and take it out that way. Or one more way would be to drill a hole in the stripped bolt and use an E-Z out to get it out
