I found something in my garage and i think it is from my 300ex. Its about the size of a gutair pick. Looks kind of like a piston ring but smaller. looks like a circle but isn't connected. made of metal

Is it the wrist pin clip? Post a pic of it.

I owned a 300EX for a year. For the life of me, I cant figure out where a clip clip would fall off of. The only C -clip that I can think of is the one on that keeps the axle nut in check. Anyone have a clue??

That looks like the Snap/Retainer ring for the rear axle but it's too thin. I don't think it came off your bike.

it looks like a cir clip to me ya know the one that holds the wrist pin in... could be wrong

its the metal thing that goes through the piston to hold it on the rod and you have 2 of those, one on each end that hold it in but u never know i couldnt tell you with out being able to get a good look at it...

im with you man...it looks sorta like a circlip and sorta liek the axle clip.....hmmmmmmmmmm i cant think of what else it could be...and if its the circlip how it got out of your motor:)

the axel clip is alot bigger unless he has a HUGE pick...

well concidering its in ur garage it could be anything(if your garage is like mine) if it came from your 300 it is a circlip, might be off a bike to keep the crank in or a snowblower or a power washer or a....... heck if know , prolly nothin serious though

do like i do find a jar or a box and trow all the things you dont know what they are and put it in there and if you think you might find out one day dump it out in the floor and fint the clip and if its wrong throw it back in there..?
