Well my son has taken the step

Well DJ my oldest son took the step up to the Pro Quad class last night out at Skagit Speedway where they hold a race on the 3/10ths sprint car track once a year!!
He did AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
His heat there were about5 riders in it he got an excellent start & stayed on in hard, he ended up 2nd behind a VERY fast quad :D in the main there were 9 riders & DJ started 1st row 4th spot when the green flag dropped he launched hard again w/ another great start, they ran 12 laps :eek2: :macho he ended up finishing 3rd behind 2 of the top riders in our area :macho :macho they were impressed also, I think he earned a little respect which is always a good thing!! He had a blst & LOVES running w/the real fast guys, makes him push that much harder!! His bike done great w/ NO problems, hooked up nicely w/ the new tires!! I will have to say it is SOOOOOO nice going to race w/ a nice bike & not havning issues unlike we did before haha

So CONGRATS DJ you done AWESOME oh BTW he brought home $100 for his 1st Pro race not to shabby huh :devil: :blah:

That's awesome Dirtmomma. Congratulations to your son for doing so well. That's truly impressive him racing the pro class for how young he is and placing that high!:cool: One of these days I'm going to try my hand at racing, curious to see how the old R will do against the new 450's. Of course I'll be running the newbie class I'm sure. lol.

Thanks for the props, I think that was one of the hardest races for me, don't know if it's cuz he ran the pro class or the big track or both LOL but I thought I was gonna have to go puke :eek: :o DJ kept telling me it's ok haha

Congrats DJ and DM. Maybe now you guy's can afford to come down and do some real (MX) racing. Sept 23 and 24th. Bob has a Pro and a Pro-Am class. And they both pay. :D

Haha hey Daddio :) Well unfortunetly "Eleanore" is ONLY A FLATTRACKER :o Not that DJ woudln't like to do MX but we said when we bought it it would be FT ONLY!! That mx stuff is HARD on equipement LOL :) plus we'd have to find dirt tires & raise it all up ect. = PIA but thanks for the offer!! If Ron's 450R didn't puked on jumps maybe he could ride that but IT'S SLOW :eek2: :devil: hahaha

Well Reed just turned 15, and he started racing his LT80 when he was 5. He climbed on the YFZ when he was 13. In his very first WORCS race on the 450, he qualified for the Pro-Am class, but a broken throttle cable prevented him from finishing very well.

DJ is 16(just turned in May) he started racing when he was 9 on a TRX90, then moved to an LT80, then up to a blaster, in 2004 he won the Youth 200cc Championship for FT!! He moved up to the YFZ when he was 15(it was borrowed @ the time), podiumed 3rd overall in the 450 open class his 1st season on it(youngest in his class) he couldn't wait to run Pro, when he turned 16. Anyway GOOD LUCK stepping up DJ400ex :)

thanks Tyler :) I was thinking it was Oct 1st or something haha now the 26 & 28 are probably feasible :):) Probably won't make the practice :( can't be driving that far 2 days!!! Hope to see ya there :D
