What happens when you mix 2 octanes together? I had 87 in my quad and I need some gas, so my friend put in 93. Does the octane like even out? Or add up?
it will still be rated at 87 octane, u should always run 93 octane since it burns cleaner and hotter which means your quad will go faster.

Everything in this statement is wrong.

Like AL said, this statement is absolutely wrong.
When you mix two octanes together, the results don't even out exactly, but they're pretty close. For example, if you mix half 89 and half 100 octane, the result is about 94. If the 100 octane is leaded, the result will be about 95.
Higher octane doesn't burn "hotter" or "faster". It's more stable, so it resists detonation, but that's about it. Depending on the specific blend, it could burn faster, or it could burn slower.
