Ok guys after a 3 yr layoff from riding I'm ready to buy another bike. I've decided on either a YFZ 450 or 450R. I haven't riden either one, but my last quad was a duncan 440ex. I went today and sat on both including the suzuki. I'm leaning to the Honda because that's what I've always had, but what I need help with is price. Cash money what can I expect to get either one for. The shop I was at today was busy as heck so I didn't bother anyone, but the msrp's were 6,999 on the YFZ and 6,499 on the R. If you don't mind can some of you guys tell me what you paid. Thanks Jamey E.

well cash my friend got a brand new 450r for $5500 (just tell them if they dont want your money someone else will) but i waited a few months till the next year came out and got an R for $5000 but i was at a dealership today and got a estimate $300 rebate off for a yfz (but its likely ill stick with my R) so id say cash you could get a yfz for $5700-6000. hope this somewhat helps:D

Thanks...I was thinking maybe I could get one around 5500. Between me and my Dad we've bought 4 quads and 2 bikes from this shop so that should help somewhat. (I think) but tell me honestly what do think about these 2 quads, I mean you've riddern them both I haven't, but I know what my 440 would do, but not neither one of these.

im 6'1 and when I got on the YFZ450 I felt like a monster... the honda seems to be the more reliable one when modified and it just fits me alot better..

I rode a yfz and it just seems to low and lt450 seems the same way but they are all good bike but if you rode a honda its a diffrent power than both of them and believe me if you get the 06 you can smoke all those 450 because i have but anyways I just think the honda is reliable than the other quads and i am 6ft 1 225lb and the honda is sweet and I probley pushing at 50 to 55 hp

I've got the honda and I'm 6'1" and I'm comfortable. I rode my buddies YFZ and it just felt way to low like the bars were down by the tires. Comfort is key the YFZ felt pretty good on power. I have seen that my buddy has a hard time accessing his carb and he always seems to have the plastics off to get to stuff. It's tough to decide when there all good machines, Good Luck.
