400ex oil

I have a 2000 400ex and can't find exactly how much oil it holds. If someone knows please let me know.

I always put in 2 quarts after i change mine. Its a tad bit over the full line but its alright. One tip though, after putting in about 1.5 quarts turn your kill switch on and turn the engine over a few times then put the rest in. Otherwise the oil reservoir will overflow and pour out.

2 quarts is easiers but,

The manual says the following:
W/ filter change - 1.9 quarts
W/O filter change - 1.95 quarts
After engine disassembly - 2.3 quarts

Best bet is to purchase a Clymers manual.
