Hey guys, just wondering what the difference is between the two. I am looking at some new Oakley goggles but the ones I like are intended for snow use. Would I have problems if I used them for MX? As long as they keep the dirt out of my eyes i'm happy :) Thanks

Most snow lenses are dual layer. They prevent fogging more than single lense goggles. They are usually orange in color to make it easier to see with all the light reflecting off the snow.

Cool, I figured they vented better to prevent fogging, but my concern is that they will vent too well to the point that dust gets through. Can someone tell me if this is or is not the case?

ive doen it both ways. when skiing with mx goggles they fog real bad and when ridding with snow goggles you get dirt inside pretty easy

I would buy goggles intended for MX use. I have Utopias for snowboarding and MX, the snow goggies have vents in the lens, frame, ect that would probably let in alot of dust. Also snow goggles dont have tearoff posts/pins.

Thanks for the replies everybody....I was looking for some first-hand experience with this and it looks like they would vent too well like I thought. Now the fun part comes with finding some sick MX goggles! :D

Snow gogles are polarized, and it scratches off easy.

I used to rock the snowboarding googles. it sucked, the dirt would get inbewteen the lens and would fog up in 2 seconds. MX goggles are so much better. get some tear off's too.
