Sore throat remedy?

I'm home sick from school right now with a horrible headache and a really bad sore throat. We dont have any more throat lozenges(sp?) and i was just wondering if there is any thing you can do that will help a sore throat go away...and fast too this sucks:p

dude ive been home sick now this is my 4th day.


i go in with a sore throat and fever to the docs the first day they take blood and check for mono and lime deisie w.e i dont know the spelling 3rd day roles around they never called so me and my pops go in and he raises heck and i was like my ear hurts now there like ohh its just fluid from bieng sick i was like but it hurts so they check it hear i had a god darn ear infection that they never checked for and ive been home really really sick for 3 days with no antibiotics. :mad: :mad: :grr: :grr:

Here are two of the most effective remedies for sore throat from my experiences:

1.) Gargle with warm salt water. Gargle way back in the throat to the point where you almost swallow it, but don't. This will help the salt water touch as much of your throat as possible.

2.) Gargle with a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. Use a couple of ounces of hydrogen peroxide and the rest mostly water. Try to gargle deeply like above but don't ingest it.

- The more frequent you do these two, the faster your throat will feel better...I promise ;)

Also, Vicks chloraseptic throat spray is good to help you deal with throat irritation while you eat and stuff, but does NOTHING to help heal your throat. Use 1 and 2 above for that :)
