good as long as you dont go with a big bore or high comp because the key advances the timing which in turn makes it burn hotter so to me it seems like it wouldnt be good seems like wiht the mods you have it is a good idea

i dunno depends on what octane your running im guessing im no expert on this but if sparks said only to run it on stock engines i believe i would listen to him but hey if you decide to do it tell me what happens to your 400 and how much hotter it ran

oonce you see one, you'll see why Sparks doesn't recommend it for anything over a 406! It's really shaved off. I noticed an increase in mid to high end performance. My quad was stock except for a Moose Works Stage 2 power up jet kit, K&N filter, and WB E-Series pipe. I was having detonation with 87 octane gas, so I went to 92 and the machine performed well. I went to 104 and it performed really well... but started running a bit warm. So I stuck with 99.

We had to split the case a little while ago and noticed a large amount or pure white deposits on the valves and crown of the piston. The mechanic didn't know what to make of this and neither did anyone else. So I pulled the timing key and had the thing bored to a 402 (and a few other things). Hope it works out.
