I always siad about a competetive 4 stroke in the 85cc class

My brother has an 85 and walks over 125 2 strokes i highly doubt a 150 4 is gonna be a match even a 230 trail bike can keep up with the 85

yea hes right before they keep up with the 85 there gonna need some stuff done before they can touch the 85s my lil bros has pro circut porting, head, etc its a very quick little bike but im sure there be something out thats gonaa make these untouchable just like the 125s and the 250fs.

I would say that would have to be more rider than machine for your brother to do that. I wouldn't be jumping to conclusions in saying ones going to walk over the other. I'm sure if honda was going to come out with a mx bike to replace the 85 they would atleast make it competitive with it.

The 150's are not in the same catagory as the crf150f, crf230 etc. This is a different animal and should be on par with any 85 on the market.

Being a 4 stroke it will also be less demanding on the rider, should produce more usable power and that could lead it to be riden faster by a good rider.

I will be trying to get ahold of one as soon as I can to replace our KTM85

I'd love to ride one just to see how it compared to the 2 stroke, I had a cr80 big wheel with fmf exhaust and a few little mods and that thing was a fast as hell for a 80cc dirtbike, the 150 look's like it has some grunt from the looks of transworld's video.

Pappy you'd be the first one to build a hybrid with the 150 most likely :p

My brothers had the bike for not even 2 months hes rode a honda 90 and bayou 220 all his life its not rider believe me its all machine

I am willing to bet the 150 will beat the 85 right out of the box. It also has alot to with the rider. pappy is right it is not in the same catagory as a crf230. How much are you asking for the KTM Kenny?

I remember hearing all the same crap when they introduced the YZ400. Well I think we know how it turned out. Unless you drag in the sand or on asphalt, two strokes are a dying breed for atvs.

No way in hell it will walk over the 85, mabe with motor work. IMO the 85 will walk over the 150. Have you guys havent rode a 85. When i had mine, it would walk over 450rs in tourque wise.

Yeah... and you are a retard if you think that it has more torque than a 450. I had one with a completely modified KX100 engine on it, and I have a buddy that had a MX set-up RM85. They were.... 85s. They are fast for what they are, no doubt..... they aren't that fast.

The only way I could see a 450 performing like described was if it was bone stock.

And I agree on what 2004-400ex said about it being similar in comparison to the 450 4-stroke vs. 250 2-stroke bikes. I think that it is probably a likely comparison. As previously mentioned, I don't see why Honda would put this bike out for the 85 class if it was meant to get left behind by them. I think that it is just another bike to continue the path already lead by the CRF450 and 250s.

They are fine.... FOR WHAT THEY ARE. I have no need to underestimate them, I know what they can do.

But as far as 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke, I think that both have their ups and downs. Personally, I would take a four stroke over a two stroke every time around. So does my buddy that had the MX RM85, considering now he races a 250f. Having a bike that has power on demand does not mean it is made for lazy people...

It will most likely suck. To put as much motor into a 150 4 stroke as a 85 2 stroke expect the cost of racing and ridign to go up.

Finaly, I cant stand it when the 85s race... it sounds like bumble bees.
