i have just installed a wb e series slip on , on my 2001 400 ex . also k&n with outer wear no lid on air box . test rode 10 or 15 minutes mostly wide open on canal and a few short trips through the woods . the old plug i removed had probably 10 hours at most on it and was pretty black . am i correct in guessing the black plug could have been a sign of a rich mixture ? with new mods and plug bike ran fine , idels smoth , runs pretty smooth , and opens all the way up as i could tell and no back firing . have yet to read plug she is still cooling off . what apparent signs of running lean should i look for as i really don't want to blow the thing up . sorry for the repeated novice type questions any help would be a blessing gonna go check my plug now thanks !
