everytime i start up my 300ex it always bogs out and then i have to start it and keep the revs up, but once its warmed up,.... it will idle just fine.
but my friend on the other hand has the same 300ex and when he starts his up, it will idle with no problem...
how can i change the idle control on my quad?
Thanks

you are suffering from what is known as "cold quad" syndrome. it is something all quads catch every time you start them. the only way to fight such a problem would be to keep the choke on untill it is warmed up or slightly turn up the idle.

to adjust the idle on the 300ex there is a flat head screw tucked away on the left side of the engine under the carb that u turn then give the engine a quick rev then just keep adjusting until its good.

it is on the carb. should be on the left side i think, facing you or on the bottom. there thould only two screws on the bottom. just have the quad running and slowly turn one out.
i'm not sure about the 300 but alot of them have a spring on them.. all my old hondas did.. i havent looked at my 250 yet.
