Axis or Elka is the way to go. Axis if you can spring for the cash trust me you'll be so happy you spent your money right the first time instead of spending your money twice to make up for a mistake of not getting the best right off the bat. Axis!!

I went froms works trip rates to axis trip rates and the axis are alot smoother and have awesome dampening.

Works does make a decent sock for your average rider.

If you dont race or beat on your bike, then works are fine for you.

ya what norm said!!!!
i bought them becuase i don't like to beat the **** out of my stuff, and they work awsome compard to stock, i overshot a 40 footer and it didn't have the same feeling as the stockers, nice nad smooth, but probably not as smooth as the axis or peps, if i had the money i would of got the zps (pep) or limited mass worth the money for sure

to dad, what ever shocks he gets will a defintie improvement over stock by far!!!

Suspension is the best money you can spend on your bike........I hate Axis, those a-holes did a revalve and respring on my rear shock when I got my +1 swingarm ..........when they sent it back to me, as soon as I took it out the box the paint was chipping on the spring and the spring had rust spots on it.........those arrogant idiots told me it was a vendors spring and they are not responsible for the poor quality.......I am thinking, this arrogant ignorant snake needs to be a politician........I hung up the phone and sold all three of my axis shocks and swore to never deal with those a-holes again........Im riding elkas now, now you know the rest of the story.:D

Mxbubs, I am going to send my axis rear somewhere for a revalve, respring, and rebuild. Where should i send it since axis was an a-hole to you? Any ideas?

tell your dad that if your race or ride mx, shocks are the BEST thing you can do to the quad and you might as well do it right the first time and make it your last. I say go with better than what you need so you don't end up having to upgrade later. And the thing is the shocks on the 400ex are compatible with a lot of quads so if you get another machine those shocks might work. 400ex shocks work on 250r, cannondales, and z400 and that basicly leave outs out yamaha and polaris.

Warriorman,
After the way TMM Treated me, i wouldn't let TMM polish my wheels. My motor is pretty stout though.

Yeah what did Happen? I know some Companies have really good products and build good things, but their service isn`t always the best.

Well lets start from the top. First they said it would take 3 weeks, it took 7. THen when i got it back my 4 motor mounts were loose, and caused my frame to break my first practice out. Umm, they took 2 weeks after I got it back to get my sparks pipe, then another week for my silencer. I have yet to see the jets I PAID FOR . The only good thing i can say is i got the axis fronts for 1000 and the motor is stout. I won't ever do business with TMM again. Now its lookin like an Arens frame is in order, due to their screw up.

ouch looks like they messed up pretty bad, frames are cheap especaily after you got all the other goodies on your frame and and suspension
