ok im lookin in to a aluminum air box does anyone have one...that knows how they work..i found one on ebay...but like wat do u all have to do to the quad...just rejet or?

I have one that relocated my battery there as well. I love it. Just get a filter cover.

you prolly would have to rejet it if you runing the lid on the stock air box b/c with the aluminum air box their will be more air geting to your air filter.

save your money for something else.....unless it's shot of course.
They cool the air a little to compaired to plastic air boxes

How would it cool the air any, all it does is relocate your battery for a better COG and allows you to not run a lid.

metal stays cooler. wouldnt help though.
I want to put a water cooled computer fan in my intake so it blows cool air into the motor

I did notice much improvement with the one I put on my atc250r. I got it on a chance by find, it is a very rare racing part. It does seal alot better on the intake tube and air filter. You can't use a lid on them though, I don't think any of them you can None of the trx250r ones I seen or have had a airbox lid.
