My new gift from Honda!!...... NOT!!!!

Im sure this is happened to plenty of other people. But its kinda Bullchit when your running second in points and only 6 behind the leader. When I took it apart, I guess what happens is the middle gear between the kicker and flywheel gets cocked from the pressure and blows the side of the case out. This is an 04.. Did the possibly add a little strength to the 05 or you 05 guys have anything like this happen to you too?

Damn that sucks man. Sorry to hear. I've also heard of people cranking on the gas while kicking the 04/05's over cracks the case right where yours cracked also...dunno if thats true or not tho?

Ya I have a friend that has had that happen to them 3 times on same bike now and I assure you they are not pressing gas!

Hmm.. Well I know i never hit the gas while kickin it over, the weirdest part was i didn't even really kick it over.. I just pushed the kicker down for a slow compression stroke. Chit I even have stock 10.5:1 comp... We all know thats crap comp and can effin start that kinda comp with your hand!!

Sorry still a little bitter so i'm venting. I bought a new case cover from MotoSport for $113.89 shipped FREE 2day Fed-Ex. Not to bad on the pocket atleast!

Was the 113 for all the gaskets needed also?

I had mine crack, just not near that bad, it leaked a bit of oil so I got someone to weld it and its worked good ever since.

Honda says that it is a bearin gin there going bad. When mine cracked warranty covered it. They replaced the cover, and some of the bearings on the kick gears and there was also a bearing on teh water pump gear that was starting to catch a little. You might want to check all of them. If you can get a service guy to call Honda, they should tell them which bearing it is.

yeah I noticed the bearing it rides in was a little on the sloppy side. Didn't look bad, just didnt feel right though. Thanks for the heads up Duke416ex

motosport sucks. they fcuked me. they say second day and i really needed it and just cuz it second day doesnt mean they ship it. they waited till tuesday and i orderd it on a wensday.

I'am pretty sure Motosports don't stock OEM parts. They order it from honda then send it to you. Service honda is the same way.
