440 kit problems

I had just recently had a 440 big bore kit installed into my 400 ex. When going up hills and sometimes even on flat ground the motor cuts out and has a major loss of power. Even in first gear going up small hills the motor will cut out. i had a hotcams stage two cam installed also. i am just wondering what the problem is. i am using the stock carb and jets. Would bigger jets solve this problem or do i need a new carb?

You need to re-jet the carb. Aside from running poorly, it's possible to harm the engine if you do major mods and don't rejet.

Thanks for your help. I will rejet the carb and see if that solves the problem
