hey guys,my wife and I have just bught a Mazda 3 Coupe.Would a 10" Bazooka sound good in the trunk or would it be drowned out by the insulation? What other options can i go with,it has the Bose system in it now and she is looking for a lil more thump. Would a 10" woofer be a good choice.

As long as you get a decent sub/amp/box combo, you will be alright....(i.e. don't expect to get any good sound out of a $100 dollar setup). One ten would probably be plenty loud enough for her liking, without overpowering the highs.

On the other hand, I've had several girls say they like the vibration when I had 8 10' subs:confused:

a 10 in sub is a good choice for the limited space of a mazda 3, though i dont understand why Bazooka? thats like DG in atv world. get something decent like rockford fosgate, kicker, or jl. also get matching amp for best sound quality. If i were you i'd go with JL W3, Kicker L5, or Rockford Fosgate P3. But if you want to go over the top, hit up the JL W7, Kicker Solobaric, or Rockford T3. also dont forget, whatever RMS watts your speaker needs, you have to supply AT LEAST 70% of it with the amp. (i.e. if sub runs on 1000 watts rms, run an amp that can push out at least 750RMS watts) any other questions just pm me. i worked for Audio Magic, local sound system shop.

Thanks guys, the only reason i mentioned Bazooka was because i already have an amplified 10" that was in my truck.

I think Bazooka sucks ***..Yes in some cases a 10" can be good..Me personally I wouldn't get just 1 10" even though I listen to just rock. 2 10"s would be good..Or 2 12"s like I have..All based on how much bass you want..I deffentally wouldn't get a Bazooka.

You have to pay between 100-150 for a decent sub atleast 200 on an amp and get a custom box made is about 75.With car audio you can not go cheap if you do you will regret it.
