Yesterday i was at a XC race and somehow my oil tank bolt came out on my 400ex. The motor was running just fine and then it just started acting like it was bogging down and it just died. I looked down and saw oil on the ground and realized what had happend. Now, my question is what now? I haven't tried to start it and i'm sure the cylinder walls are dry. So should i just put some oil in it and try to fire it up? Or should i take the plug out and put some oil right on top of the piston? Any suggestions? Or is it gonna be totally fried? I'm assuming i'm gonna be looking at a new piston and rings at best! It's on the stock bore with the stock piston if that helps anyone's suggestions.
Thanks!
