Hey im jeff's sister he just wanted me to let u guys know that he broke his back over the triple about five minutes be4 the little kid got ran over. He is in the hospital right now and he is okay but we dont know if he will need surgery or not until 2morrow and he wants to tell pappy that he scared him a lil coming around that corner nd it was a fun day up till the point he crashed.

I saw him hitting the triple on Sunday. He looked like he was clearing it easily. He got a little nose high once or twice, but nithin too bad. Hope he gets better soon.

This is not what I wanted to here. I was talkin to him prolly a half hour before it happened in the Food line. Its weird how know one knew about it. Why didnt you call an ambulance, unless its no a serious break?

He got up and walked off the track. All he said was he was soar but he was ok. I wish him a fast recovery. Get better soon Jeff.

It was almost duct tape but I already had the pucker factor of no brakes that day. so I had to do what I had to do.

Hey guys this is Jeff. I am in the hospitl now, I shattered my t3 vertabra and cracked my t4 and t6. Thanks to all the people that ran up to the top of the hill when i fell and helped me off the track.

I felt fine after the crash just a little beat up. It was painful but nothing that serious. I rode in the car back to VA, 2 1/2 hours of mouning and grouning. Went to the ER thinking I had a broken wrist. They took x-rays and cat scan, but sent me home with nothing broken.

Next day around 2 pm the hospital called asking me to come back for a cat scan. Found out then that I had broken my back in three places.

Sounds, like after a quick fix.. you'll be just fine. About a 1/2 shorter.. but just fine. Will probably require some surgery, unfortunatly.

My best friends brothers friend did the exact same thing at Little Sahara. His was due to stupidity, however.. lol. We like to call him "No you can't ride my quad".

He was up and walking in a matter of days.

alright guys i just got home from the hospital. this brace i am wearin sucks but what can ya do..... i am feelin better but the pains still there. all i can do is rest and heal. thanks for all the support. just thought i'd let u knwo how i'm doin

well guys i got my first follow up with my doctor tomorrow at 2. he is the best in the DC area so i am hoping all goes well. we are hoping to find out if i will be able to have full movement of my back and how long it will take to heal. i am gettin kinda nervous even thinkin bout it cause, what this doc says tomorrow determines wether i ride again....:ermm:

well boys, good and bad news!!

GOOD NEWS- everythign is gonan heal fine and is doin great the past week. and hopefully will be able to ride in 3 months, problem is its gonna be winter...

BAD NEWS- i have to wear this brace for 8 flippin WEEKS!!! that means doing NOTHING. plus i miss my HOMECOMING(king last year):cool:

i was EXTRMLY depressed all day, but i'v been talkin to my freinds all night and i'm in a better mood. they cheered me up, i'm gonan have to fight my emtions cause i'v noticed i'v been really depressed since this has happened

Hey, look at it like this.. your one lucky guy. You broke your back and your going to be able to ride again.. not many people walk away from a broken back. Your really lucky and I am glad to hear.

I agree. Plus you could of had surgery, vertabre fused together, all kinds of bad stuff. Count your blessings.

i know, and thats why i have no idea why i am depressed about the whole thing.

the doc was expectign me to coem in in a wheelchair (gave it to me when i left the hospital cause it hurt to walk) he was shocked when i just walked in, i have no pain (with alittle help from my friend oxycodon, pronoced oxy-cotton;) ) and i can do EVERYTHING i did before, except bend and stuff cause of the brace. i can even run, sorta....

he took my mom out of the room (still scared about the whole thing) and we sat down and he straight up told me i should be in a wheelchair paralized!! the way i shattered my T3 makes it so there is no sopport at all. he said peice where pressing against my spinal cord in the ER, and now the have "magicly" moved into a position were they can heal. i am very lucky and blessed

Sorry but who cares if you in a brace for 8 weeks or even 8 months.
TAKE THE POSITIVE OUTTA THIS SITUATION... You could be crippled and never walk or never ride again.

Count your lucky stars and thank whoever it is you thank in this situation (god)

You'll be outta shape by the time you finish healing but like you said you'll have the whole winter to recover,, use the winter to do just that.

AND,, stop thinking about running etc... until your fully recovered. Whats your rush??

Your not 40 so you have the time..

Think about what I said and take it easy and recoup yourself.
