hey guys, i have a 05 450r, and im looking at getting a 06 swing arm this winter. my question is how do you think it would sit with a stock shock and a GT Tunder lowering link, would it sit too low? would i be better off running a stock linkage? or should i just go with a houser swinger? please post your opinions. thanks

i am not sure how it will be. i think you need the 06 linkage with that setup. also, the 06 shock is different from the 05. i believe it is longer.

don't waste your money. The 06 swingarm is only 5/8" longer than the 04/05 one. The 06 does use a different linkage and shock I believe, (not sure on the shock).

Save your shock and linkage, spend the money on a new shock or swingarm and revalve. A new shock and linkage will do 100% better than throwing on an 06 swingarm.

If you go the '06 route you need the '06 shock and linkage then get someone like GTT to revalve and get an aftermarket link (still need part of the '06 linkage). I have a Houser swingarm and stock rebuild w/GTT link. It works well but I still considered doing this instead. The stock '06 swingarm is quite a bit lighter than an aftermarket swingarm will be. Mine is + 1 1/4". I see Houser also has a +.5" available now. The stock swingarm is to short. I would like to try something in between stock and + 1 1/4". If I was starting over, I would give the '06 a try.
