I bought a 76 Camaro when i was 14 for 500 bucks and its still in the workin of being a nice street car. I've put about 700 bucks into it so far and got it running. Next i wanna get a bigger motor and rebuild it to my liking.

326 4bbl (230cfm)
2spd automatic
2.56 rear end

I too had a '68 Firebird as my first car. It was my Dad's and he gave it to me and we restored it. We gradually added more and more to it and turned it into a nice show car/daily driver. I totaled it in college in 1998 and replaced it with a mint '70 Dodge Charger show car. Now I have a '02 Nissan Maxima SE 6 spd and the Charger.

Any pics of the Firebird or Tempest??

in 1997 I was 17 and had a 1979 Mercury Capri with a straight 6 200 auto in it, its the same body as a Mustang lx. front end was the only driffrence. paid $400 for that car from a friend but wow we put over 2,000 in it then finally the tranny went out about 2 yrs after I drove it. after that I have owned like 10 different automobiles...
wish I would have keeped it.
