Yesterday after I washed my quad, I started it up. It was in gear so i pulled the clutch in and started it, while trying to start, the bike started moving a little, like it would if you had the clutch 1/4 out. But this only happened during start-up.

the clutch actually seperates power between the motor and gearbox. so pulling in the clutch will decrease friction between those components....if the the clutch was fried it would still disengage as normal, but will not engage fully....assuming just the plates are gone and there is no broken parts.

get it?:ermm:

u need to adjust it though, and u might need to replace the plates

the oil is thicker when cold, cold starts.....
the oil could fill the 'gap' between plates, creating a small amount of friction causing it to creep forward.
