muffler help

[2004-400ex]

ok my trucks stock muffler has a hole in it about the size of a grapefruit. i need it to pass inspection soon and i am wondering if there is anything i can do to fix it and make it sound better.

its a 4cyl so there is no point in buying stuff for it

take it off and weld a patch on to it or spend like 20 bucks and replace it witha thrush turbo at your local Advaced Auto shop

y is there always a few people that joke in every thread?
will the "thrush turbo" help out with how it sounds.

Oh yea it will help me and a few friends have S 10's and we all have them heavily modded when my friend went to sell his he replaced his muffler(fart can) with a thrush turbo and it was quiet and u cant even hear it....its worth 20 bucks what kind of vehicle do u have?

Cut it out and put a cheap muffler in and then add some whistle tips. :p

its a 99 s10 extreme( i have pulled the body kit off cuz lowered trucks are gay)

Just get the piping replaced.

If a hole was rusted into it you prally can't weld a patch on. I guess you will just have to replace it.
