starter question on a foxbody mustang...

Ok so we put a new starter on an 87 mustang 5.0. now when we touch the battery cables it starts the car by itself with teh key turned off. i think that its grounding out somewhere in the wiring. or something to do with the solanoid. need some help. lets hear it.

Is the solanoid hucked up? It sounds like you have the starter hard wired. Make sure the solanoid is hooke dup correctly
