i tried playing the drums in school to imprees some hott chick and man i sounded like a blind retard with no arms lmfao but anyways what do you guys play i used to play a lil guitar but not anymore.

I been drumming since the 5th grade...I'm a rocker thru and thru baby...I think I missed my calling to be a hair metal drummer back in the day!:macho :devil:

ive played drums since the 5th grade... so i play set, congas (african and carribean), bongos, all of the acessories, marimba, vibes, piano, steel drums (lead pan, double seconds, and bass pans), snare (im drum cptn. at my high school), quints, bass, i forget the name but its an irish drum (really wierd). after my senior year, im going to look into drum corps... i bought the cavaliers audition pieces for this year and they were easy as hell for me.

There are different kinds of blast beats

It's like a really fast one handed snare roll..

but it is used for an actual beat.

a Gravity Blast is where the tip of the stick hits the head and then you bring the middle of the stick down to the rim, so it kind of jumps up and keeps going.


so it would sound like your doing a 2 handed snare roll. just with one hand.....and double bass if you choose.


It isn't too hard after you get the hang of it.
