Looks photoshopped.

How did you do that so fast? I've always wondered how people get a 2007 or "next year" bike and like less than a month its race ready...

It would be pretty easy to photo chop his signature quad into that 07 450R. If that is your 07 450R, post up more pics, that is sick!

not to get off topic or anything but, can someone explain this to me???? " bored .120 over w/ 12:1 JE piston, ".

isnt the stock compression ratio 12.0: 1?
if its bored how do you keep the same ratio?
just curious....

nice quad by the way

Just because you bore something it doesnt mean you have to up the compression. You can buy a larger piston and still keep the same comp. ratio.

And I think stock comp. on a 400 is 10.1

06-07 450rs are the same except for the plastics, and its very easy to build a brand new race bike, seeing as how all the parts are already out.

i know guys all the parts for an 06 will fit it so its very possible that he was ordering parts before he bought it. then just slaped it all together and there you go 07 race bike.

i dont see why you guys dont believe him, it only takes a week or two of hard work to build a race caliber bike, as long as you dont need any outsourced motorwork, or powdercoating

it very well could be done but the pic has some spots on it that look kinda funny to me. it could be a bad camera or something but all the edges and parts look fuzzy to me.

so then he still bought aftermarket plastic for it?

because the red frame only comes with the SE black 450r

and the white has a silver frame

Thanks!
I didnt really understand what the big deal was! The "07" models were released the first week of July, we ordered it and allot of my parts at the beginning of June. I got the first one that was delivered to Station Park Honda and started putting parts on it right away! Everything was on it within 2 days with exception of the A-arms, I had to wait three more weeks before I got them!

Flodies400ex

DUDE! I have no plans of posting my vin# on the internet. However, if you really want to know you can call Station Park Honda (502-587-8496), ask for Dean - He is the manager. Better yet, call Ken at Rocky Ridge Racing (270-259-9604) and ask him! He put the cam and jets in it! If not, accept it! Its not really that big a deal! I have no reason to lie, I have had my 400 for 6 years and it was time for a new race quad!

Dave400ex
09-04-2006, 04:12 PM
What kind of cam did you put in it?

The cam is Honda stock out of a CRF450R dirt bike. Not sure what year (the year is supposed to make a difference!) This is what Ken at Rocky Ridge recommended we use!

My friend just bought an 07 and he already had all walsh/axis next day on it! I don't get what the big deal is, you order parts ahead of time, so therefore once you get your quad you'll have everything you need ahead of time!
