I have an '04 F-250 FX4 Lariat Supercab. The OEM tires are 265/75/16. I ordered a set of 285/75/16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T?A KO. The guy said that they are designed to go on a 7 1/2" wheel not a 7" wheel. Does anybody think I will have any problems with this. I don't really think I will, I was just hoping someone could coroborate this for me.

I used to run 14.50's on a 10" wheel im not sure but it doesn't seem like it would be a problem.

i used to run 31X10.5X15's on 15X7 wheels. think it screwed with my handling..my theory was that the sidewall flexes more on a skinnier wheel, making it want to wander. on my ram im running 31 10.5 15's for the moment..after the demo derby on monday i should have some time to play with it. going up 4 inches with 33 12.5 15's..on a 15X10 wheel.

the half inch size difference you are dealing with should not be a problem. if you think about it...your wheels are a half inch smaller than the tires are designed for. thats a quarter inch on each side that the sidewall is going to be in as opposed to the 7.5 wheel. definately shouldnt hurt anything;)

I don't think you'll have any problems with 7" rims. I had the spec sheet for those tires on my computer somewhere, can't find it right now.

Also, a very nice tire BTW. I have them on my truck, I think they're too much $$$ but they are a good tire for all conditions.

Bottom line is that you'll be fine. :)

Nah you'll be fine. You just upped the width and sidewall height a bit. Rim size is still the same.
