chevy 2500, W/T show pics of your chevy's too!

Well in a year i'm gonna be getting my permit and will be driving a 1994 red chevy 2500 W/T, how much HP do theses trucks have? and i have never ever been able to figure out what the W/T meant so if you know what that means thnx...

W/T = Work Truck they are the base model for the silverados/full size Chevy trucks. What engine is in it, the 350?

w/t stands for work truck as armoks stated.

as for HP ratings. if it has the 350 it puts out a whopping 210HP and a stump pulling 300 ft/lb of torque. (sarcasm)

the TBI 350 was notoriously underpowered, and not much could be doneto solve this inexpensivly. the swirlport heads are what many blame. the trucks dont run bad, but are no powerhouse. i had a 92 and it ran good, but you could definitally tell there was a lack of power.

The truck most likely has a 350. Some W/T OBS trucks 1988-1998 had 4.3 V6. More W/T than silverados came with 4.3. So i would check that. If it has a 350 they come with i think its 210 hp and its like 190 hp to the wheels. This is for the TBI motor, which is what you have. The TBI motor was availible in 1988-1995 and then the Vortec motor came out in 1996-1998. The Vortec motor had more power and was just a better motor, even though it was more complex.

i personally hate chevy trucks, i have been a ford truck guy all my life and personally own two 2005 f-150 4x4 xlt's and wouldnt have it any other way. All day at work i spend time fixing the chevy's we have, I just had to do brakes on a 2005 2500 we just got maybe 5 months ago, and our 2003 with 40,000 miles has a nasty tick in it already. Im sorry but FORD baby!

I know that the new chevy's do haul though with the 350 they have. They are considerably faster then my dads 5.4l F-150, but honestly he didnt buy it to be fast.
