I'm due on my first oil change and setting of the valves. Would the price of oil filters be comparable at the stealership or should I purchase offline? What about the oil? What brands are just as good as Honda? I have been using Castrol oil since my truck had 75,000 shes still purring at 330,000

I use Spectro 4 Premium and Golden Spectro 4 synthetic blend on my quads. Just don't use any type of full synthetic.

I'm going to start running 20w 50 though to help keep temps down.

a yeah DON'T use regular 10w-40 that you would for your car.

You gotta be careful and use either regular oil or synthetic but it MUST be design for an ATV (wet clutch right)

I'm using Amsoil 20w-50,, thick as hell but its supposed to help it run a little cooler.

Just as long as it doesnt have additives in it like moly you'll be fine. Ive been using amsoil 10w40, no slipping in my clutch.
