Try givin the front end a lil bounce. b4 you try to pull it up give it some gas to bring the front end up let off and at the same time kinda squat down quickly on ur bike then gas it again. hope that make sence.

quit being a ***** and actually pull it up... 400ex is one of the easiest wheelie bikes if you haven't rode a wheelie on anything else its gonna take a while to actually learn how to balance a bike jus do it or atleast practice poppin the clutch atleast you'll get practice

my trick is to put it in second gear and bring it up to mid to high rmps, then let completly off the gas untill it get back to low rpms and then just punch it and pull back at the same time. Or if you want to do a nice and slow wheelie just start off in first and then let off the gas until its close to stalling, then hit the gas and pull back. it comes up right away, and makes for a nice slow wheelie that is easy to balance.

What I do.... If your just starting out try putting one, or maybe even both feet back on the grab bar... Remember, pracitice makes perfect so don't give up after a few missed tries!

dude the easiest way to wheelie is to place ur foot in the back bar annd just hit that gas......i dont feel doing this is needed personally but it will automaticaly bring up the front wheels try it in second while rolloing bout 1/3 throttle hope it works for ya

400ex's are one of the most easiest bikes to wheelie. i can pull it up in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. you just gotta feel hte throttle when the time is right hit it and pull back on the bars. slower wheelies are hard because u need to balance more. if you go back to far tap the rear break lightly to bring the fornt back down. im ok at weheelies now but there are alot of stunters that are better than i am but i can shift while wheelieing easily. it just takes practice. even with my 16 tooth sprocket wheelies are easy i actually liek it better than the 15

depends how you want your gearing. mine is taller now and is more useful in 2nd gear for hill climbs, it works good for wheelies and i can cruise the dirt roads faster now
