WEll i used to have a 02 400ex I like to trail ride and do some intermediate jumps 30ft gaps big tables stuff like that. The thing i hated the most was no reverse, I either want a z400, predator or raptor because they have reverse. I rode a 05 predator and i loved the handling power but the weight could be felt of my friend motocross track. The price of the Z and the pred ar almost the same the raptor is more. I guess i would like some input on reliability and other quarks. What to u like about your predator and what do you hate?

With a few cheap mods...the thing has power to spare and make up for any weight issue you may have.

I got mine a few months ago, and i love it. I upgraded from a 300ex. The weight is an issue with a lot of people, but it's not that bad. The power is great, and makes up for the extra weight, at least to me.

I rode a Z for a bit, and it's a nice machine, but sits a little too high for my taste.

I would get a Z or KFX 400. Nice good all around machines

if you already have a 400 I wouldnt get another one, its probably time to step it up.

A z and KFX are faster then a 400ex so it would be a step up.

He could also get a 450 of some sort

yeah theyre faster but by how much? If youre gonna buy a bike and reverse is a must then it would be either the pred/outlaw or raptor. If you can wait the kawi 450 will have it too,
