Ok buddy of mine blew up his 350X. He is now looking to see if there are any big bore kit availible for it or one that will work on it. If you know of any places that make big bore kits, stroker kits or cams for a 350X or motors like it please tell me.

Also I heard TRX350 motors and XR350 motors are similar

And if anyone has a 350X bottom end or whole motor then please tell me. Thanks

id have to say the best one for the money is the 370 kit because the 400 kit requires alot more work and you only get that extra 10% more power

the 370 with a stroked crank (400) or the 400 with the stroked crank (430)expecially, i wouldnt buy unless i was racing for money, thats alot of work and money right there

sure it would be sick but like $1400+ sick??

Okay, I might be way off here, but I remember something about being able to put a 400ex top end on the 350x bottom end. That may be a way to go if it's possible. Maybe I'm just :bandit:

I've got a 350X motor, never been run, so it should be in perfect shape.

On the other hand, it HAS sat on a shelf for 20 years, so it might not be in all that great of shape...

I know powroll has 350x kits.
I beleive Curtis Sparks will work on them also.

I honestly have no clue at all on the 350x-400ex top end conversion. It all depends on stud locations.

You need to look into somehow testing that engine. What if you sell it to somebody and its all rusted together inside. There has to be somebody that knows what happends or what doesn't happen to the inside of an engine when its been sitting for along time.

most trike take out motors are perfect inside, but do need cluthes. They tend to slip right away or not grip at all. I have a take out 85 250r motor, its perfect, I am gonna replace the cluth before I do anything with it.

The trike take-out motors had oil inside, and I know it has been turned over by hand, so I'm pretty sure it's not rusted inside. However, I did see a small amount of rust on the valves (because they're not sitting in oil like the tranny). So I wouldn't be surprised if the cylinder needed a new bore and piston, and possibly replace the valves.

I just don't know if I have the energy to bust into this engine. If I take a wrench to it, I'm not going half-way. I'd be willing to sell this engine fairly cheap right now, but if I am forced into it rebuilding it, I ain't accepting anything less than top dollar.

Since the motor has never been started, it's a pretty sure bet the head isn't warped or cracked, the cases aren't cracked, and the cylinder has several overbores left.

Even if ALL the internals were junk, I'd be able to get a couple hundred for the cases, a hundred or so for the head, fifty or so for the cylinder, ect ect. Plus, this engine has many of the little accessories, like the kick starter, shift lever, even the stock carb. Those things combined would fetch another $50-$70.

I'd take $350 plus shipping...

I have a 86 350X motor, runs, but needs a head. 225.00 + shipping.

The motor will be fine.Take the clutch plates out and wipe them off and reassemble them. The valve seals could be bad but you wont know for sure until you fire it up.Also Put fresh oil in it obviously and add a few teaspoons of kerosene or deisel to help free up any sticking piston rings.I would run it for a few minutes then change the oil,it'll be good to go.Shifter shaft seals and kicker seals should be fine its the flimsy valve seals you may have to look at.$350 for that engine is a steal.;)

someone broke 3 of the exhaust studs off and the tried to drill them out with the engine still in the frame.
